Policy, Research and Organising Tools

Policy, Research and Organising Tools

A suite of tools to target, track, parse and save information related to the campaign objectives of PPR. Users configure the tool to query an ever-growing list of sources and they receive automated alerts when new information is available.

Seán Mac Bradaigh, Assistant Director, Participation and the Practice of Rights:

Belfast-based rabble.coop have assisted us to deliver multiple digital organising initiatives which have built power and held public authorities to account for human rights failings.

They work with us to develop tools for quick deployment that prioritise being effective in the midst of a campaign by making our organising and research more targeted and removing some of the repetitive and time consuming activities.

We have worked with rabble.coop to develop a range of tech tools; tools which are mostly used internally by PPR organisers and research teams.

PPR's activism relies on accurate research into government policy, statistics, and tracking who benefits from inequality. This means we're constantly tracking information from a wide range of sources: news, press releases, statistics, political party policies, planning applications, and much more. It is repetitive and time intensive work but rabble.coop have helped us to automate a lot of these tasks.

The team at rabble.coop have also supported PPR to develop tech tools for on-the-ground organising, including a housing rights complaints app, allowing people to work with organisers to quickly submit human rights based complaints to their landlords as well as alerting local politicians and public authorities.
